Privacy
Our privacy stance, in plain language.
We built CareerCoach to be the trustworthy adult in the room, and that has to include how we handle your data. Here's the whole thing, without the legal fog.
- No ads, no ad trackers. We don't run third-party advertising or the tracking scripts that come with it. On any page where your student answers questions, there are no marketing trackers, period.
- We do measure how the product is used. We track product usage and feature metrics, like which parts of the tool people use and where they get stuck, so we can understand how it's being used and make it better. This is about improving the product, not advertising to you. It is not ad tracking, we don't follow your student around the web, and we never sell it.
- We don't sell your data. There's no data-broker business here and never will be.
- Your student's results belong to you. You can view them, export them, and keep them.
- We collect only what the tool needs to work. An assessment needs answers to score them, and finding nearby colleges needs a ZIP code. We don't go looking for more.
- Schools get role-based access, not a backdoor. When a counselor or consultant is involved, who can see what is controlled by database-level permissions and the school's own agreements, not by trust.
- Questions or requests? Reach a real person at dscollins1973@gmail.com.
This page describes how we operate. It isn't legal advice, and it isn't a substitute for a formal privacy policy, which we'll publish as the product's data practices are finalized.
